Accident & Emergency departments will have NHS vets available 24 hours a day.
All vets which are part of a chain will be nationalised after MP’s said they are unhappy with Vet bills.
The health secretary has announced that all pets will soon receive subsidised or free treatment on the NHS in just the same way their owners do. It comes after several MP’s were complaining of the exorbitant fees they were being charged by their respective vets.
GENERATE THE MOST PROFIT
For years now people have been forced to pay outrageous fees to vets especially when the veterinary practice is a part of a large company. Vets working for these companies are forced to suggest the medicines and treatment which generate the most profit.
We spoke to one of the MP’s who suggested the change, MP for Solihul Lisa Ratic:
“My little fur baby kept getting the splatts, she was spraying it everywhere, I rushed her to the vet and came home with a bill for £1300, I’m pretty sure all they gave her was some immodium.
After speaking with colleagues I discovered they too have had similar experiences, Geoff told me his cat had fleas for which the treatment cost £450 and Sheila’s dalmatian had a broken leg which I agree is very serious but it shouldn’t cost £14,000 should it?”
We think the British people will welcome this, after all, we are a nation of animal lovers:
“I should hope so, it’s going to cost a bloody fortune and stretch the NHS even more but it’s important that MP’s, I mean the public, can get their pets treated at a reasonable rate.”
