A joint research project between 17 Universities around the world has found all reality TV to be manufactured leading to mass trauma for millions of viewers.
The research paper found that all of the events ever filmed for every reality series on earth are fake even though the word ‘reality’ is used to describe and promote them.
Leading media companies have dismissed the scientific paper as biased and not based on any real data despite the research only using data from the reality shows themselves.
Social media erupted with anger at the mere suggestion reality TV was not real.
SIX PACK & CRAZY TAN
On Facebook Pam Due said:
“I’m not having it, I and all my friends have modelled ourselves on how they dress and act on The Only Way Is Essex, we cheat and argue as much as they do. We don’t work, we just hang around in wine bars. It’s as real as it gets.”
On TikTok Jake Joust argued:
“I’m a massive Love Island fan. Look how bright my teeth are, I’ve got a sixpack, a crazy tan and me and the boys go to Ibiza 3 times a year and have it large. We basically do Love Island without the big cameras. All I see is true life on the show”
On Instagram Lisa Ratic said:
“I’m a chef and I make every member of my kitchen cry most evenings and then pretend I care about them afterwards because that’s how it’s done, I show no mercy just as Gordon does on Kitchen Nightmares.”
The bottom line is that reality TV is going nowhere and the amount of programs is only increasing due to demand. If it continues at current rates it’s estimated by 2045 most people on earth will be in a series themselves with anyone not on TV will be deemed ‘not real’.
