Heston Sinessin had been frequenting his local pub for 30 years and after a couple of them was able to walk in and ask for his usual and get what he wanted, a sweet pint of Banks’s Mild.
The staff all knew Heston, the pub has been a family business for decades so regulars are their bread and butter. So, on Tuesday evening Heston walked in as normal but something was amiss, there was a slightly different atmosphere in the lounge area. Something was off.
UNFAMILIER FACE
On any normal evening his pint would have already started pouring after he walked into the lounge, if he was lucky it was sitting there settling, waiting for him as he sat down on his usual stool at the bar.
This time however when he approached the bar the face in front of him was unfamiliar, where was Doris or Olive? All he had was a girl he hadn’t seen before.
“What you having love?” said Staci
“Er, the usual please” said Heston
“Sorry love, I’ve no idea what that is” said Staci
“Uugggghhh ahhhh” said Heston before collapsing onto the floor clutching his chest.
Newsishy spoke to the pub Owner/Manager Jake Joust:
“We all went on a holiday for a week and had a company run the place while we were away. It never occurred to me to let them know what the regulars drinks were.
Poor Heston, he was part of the furniture at the Dog & Dribble, I guess when you are in a routine it can come as a bit of a shock if things change.”
