President Zelenskyy has announced a massive military aid package for the UK.
The government was in full damage control mode a few days ago after a former NATO secretary general warned the UK was at serious risk and unprepared due to its under funded military.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer denied there is an issue and insisted funding is high and still increasing. Two days later he admitted the UK will be receiving regular military aid from the Ukraine to help increase our readiness for war.
£8 BILLION
The initial £8 billion package will include an array of vehicles including tanks, jeeps and helicopters along with a huge amount of drones and ammunition.
President Zelenskyy said:
“We have received a lot of weapons from the UK over the past 3 years and so it’s only fair we help out now. The UK is open to attack, it’s not in our interests for it to fall at the moment. We will support them as much as we can.”
Keir Starmer released a statement saying:
“The UK military is as strong as it ever was and does not require any aid from other nations. However, we have negotiated a 5 year deal with Ukraine to supply us with arms and equipment free of charge just until we’re back on our feet which should be any time now.”
