After years of lobbying and legal battles animal welfare advocates have managed to get their DBM law through parliament.. The Dogs Balls Matter Law states that for male adult dogs being neutered they should have equivalent sized prosthetics fitted immediately and for younger dogs to be fitted with the appropriate size for them to grow into.
COLIN GOT THE SNIP
Lead campaigner Jake Joust spoke to Newsishy outside the houses of parliament. We started by asking about his journey. “My german shepherd Colin got the snip at around 18 months old, we had to because he kept shagging the new sofa. He had a right nice pair on him, always licking them he was. When we got home from the vet it broke my heart the way he was looking down at that empty space with those sad eyes, I swear I saw a tear drop.
When we went out to the park for the first time I cried, other dogs were going round for a sniff and they all seemed to be mocking him, he was very dejected for a long time.”
THE RESULTS WERE INSTANT!
Is that when you started the campaign? “No, it was after, I couldn’t take seeing how depressed he had gotten, he didn’t like playing with other dogs anymore, he just watched TV all day so I decided to get him implants. The results were instant! It was the Colin I used to know! He became super confident, the dogs at the park could not get enough of his new nads, they definitely looked at him with proper respect.
I thought there must be thousands of dogs out there sad as fuck and suffering crippling ridicule from other dogs when there is no need. It’s just not fair man so I started the campaign and here we are!” I did it for Colin.
