President Trump is angry about most of the world not liking him.
The tournament was cancelled in a post on social media at 3.30am while Trump was complaining about Europe, Asia, Australia and South America not supporting his Iran war effort even though he said in the same post he never wanted their help and would refuse any help offered.

He went on to say “I’M NOT HAVING TRAITORS COME TO MY COUNTRY AND ENJOY SOCCER WHILE THEY INSULT ME. THE WORLD CUP IS OFFICIALLY CANCELLED. SORRY SPORTS FANS BUT THE WOKE LEFTISTS HAVE SPOILED IT ONCE AGAIN FOR EVERYONE! THERE WILL BE NO TICKET REFUNDS FOR NON AMERICANS.”
Mexico and Canada who are staging the competition alongside the USA quickly released joint press statements stating
“The World Cup is not cancelled. Maybe Trump forgot there were other countries involved and they also have football stadiums, quite a lot of them actually.
We are already arranging any game scheduled for the USA to be played in Mexico or Canada. Your USA tickets will be valid, there will be refunds but only because we charge fair prices for tickets so everyone will be getting something back.
Trump responded to the press release, again on social media.
“I DID NOT WANT THIS COMPETITION IN AMERICA, NEVER DID. I’VE SAID A HUNDRED TIMES IT WAS NOT RIGHT FOR THIS COUNTRY. VERY UNPOPULAR SPORT PLAYED BY FAIRIES AND GIRLS. I WILL ALLOW FOR THE COMPETITION TO CONTINUE. I SUGGEST THE TRAITOR COUNTRIES MEXICO AND CANADA STAGE ALL THE GAMES. THAT’S THE DEAL I’M OFFERING. TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT”
The World Cup starts on 11th June 2026 in Mexico City.
