UK budget airline EasierJet has introduced passenger freight flights where customers looking to save money can have themselves shipped in a box in the cargo hold.
Optional she-wee
The service costs around a third of the cost of a regular flight, no carry on luggage and no food served. 1 water bottle is allowed and can be purchased for £5. A second empty bottle is supplied free for toilet use with an optional she-wee available for women priced at £25.
We spoke to the head of passenger freight Seth Sialis and asked what the demand is for the new service. “Surprisingly huge! It’s extremely popular, especially for children as parents don’t want those looks when their toddler is screaming, it’s a godsend to them.” When we mentioned some complaints she told us “There was always going to be a few, at the end of the day we are nailing people into wooden boxes which they are unable to leave until it’s unloaded, some of them come out traumatised and covered in shit, others just have a blank stare. It’s fine, they sign an extensive document releasing us from any liability.”
Other airlines are expected to start offering the service soon.
