Sportswear giant Nike has been defending its practice of using the skin of exhausted factory workers to make its new exclusive line of human skin sneakers which the rich and famous have been paying 10’s of thousands of dollars for.
The Epidermistyle range became hugely popular after Kim Kardashian wore them in a promotional video. There is now a 4 year waiting list for a pair of the $25,000 sneakers which are reselling for as much as $150,000 on some sites.
THIS IS A VERY ETHICAL PRODUCT
Nike spokesperson Edith Nobleston spoke to Newsishy, we began by asking her what the fuck they were thinking in the first place with the range? “None of this was an issue before the people who can’t afford a pair found out about them.
What they don’t realise is this is a very ethical product, these factory workers do their very best to keep up with the insane workload and most don’t die but when they do we make sure the families of the deceased are compensated handsomely with 2 years worth of wages paid directly to relatives, that’s almost $750!”
But the range starting price is $25,000 and you get 4 pairs from 1 worker?
“That’s only if they are an adult actually, usually we’re only getting 2 pairs at most from a body and the families are happy with the pay-out in fact we’ve had families benefit 3 or 4 times from multiple workers, some of them are swimming in cash!”
The company has no plans to stop making the controversial footwear.
