Biologists in the UK announced the discovery of an incredible new species of carnivorous slug which appears to only eat hedgehogs. It’s been named Limax Sonicitus.

University of Wembley Professor Ruth Troyston was ecstatic during our conversation about the find saying “ For decades we have firmly believed the reduction in the UK hedgehog population was due to habitat destruction and climate change but this changes everything”
We were sent an image of the new species by Professor Troyston and the first thing we noticed was its size, it’s huge! It also does not look friendly.
LARGEST LAND SLUG ON THE PLANET
“Yes, they are definitely now the largest land slug on the planet, we only have one example which measures 50cm so we can presume larger examples exist. It seems to have excellent hearing and vibration sensors which it uses to track unsuspecting hedgehogs from underneath the soil, it then pounces by shooting up and grabbing its prey before dragging them underground to be swallowed whole.”
Are the public in danger from this new species?
“No, not at all but if you own a chihuahua you may want to start walking it on harder surfaces”
