Grandmothers worldwide will sleep easier today after TikTok finally banned the viral trend of stomping on a grannies head 2 years after it was ordered to by most high courts globally.
23,000 Grannies dead
The trend which many young people thought was hilarious has led to over 23,000 grannies dying with a further 57,000 suffering life changing injuries. The challenge in which a young person knocks a granny (does not have to be your own) to the ground and stomps on her head to the song Dancing Queen by ABBA rose in popularity after the first few videos went viral earning their creators hundreds of thousands of pounds in just a few hours.
Just let us do what makes us happy
Thousands of TikTokers have voiced their opinions on the platform with varying opinions. Ellie Harsal who has 2.4 million followers after her granny video went viral said “It’s just another example of older people not understanding what’s funny, just let us do what makes us happy and stop banning stuff innit” While Seth Sialis a fairly new user said “I think it was probably the right decision but I don’t know, my granny was stomped last year by my neighbour, she lived but she’s pretty much a vegetable now although the neighbour was able to get a new flat and a lovely car so it’s swings and roundabouts”
